Entertaining Kid Lit with Content
Experience based children's literature for enjoyment at home or at school

Betsy Kath and Audrey Kath Ganitopoulos are a mother-daughter team that has a lot of stories to tell. Though both have taken the round about way to writing, they bring a varied background of experiences that transition right into their source material.
Roots to Leaves Media, L.L.C. is an exciting new direction in which they hope to grow their beginnings into stories for and about smart, competent kids with adventurous spirits.
Did I ever tell you about the time...
Betsy Kath
Betsy's path has included sharing her passion for all things creative as a NC Art Museum Docent, before completing her BA in Early Childhood Education at UNC Chapel Hill. During her career as a public elementary school teacher she taught in rural and inner city settings, received a Teacher of the Year award at two different schools, mentored new teachers and went on to expand her expertise by becoming a Certified Montessori Teacher. In addition to running a family construction business, Betsy also added a Graphic Design degree to her list of credits. During the past few years she has immersed herself in the world of bee keeping and the verb "Grandmothering!"

Audrey Ganitopoulos
Audrey took the scenic route, starting at NC State University with a major in Animal Science, a minor in Film. She made a few unplanned, but interesting turns, campaigning for the Sierra Club, to film projection at an arthouse theatre, to horseback guide work in the Rocky Mountains. She landed happily in the world of Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies, gaining her certification in Therapeutic Riding and Interactive Vaulting Instruction, as well as spending nearly a decade as program director to a successful local therapeutic riding center. These days, Audrey's busy with farm and family--two lovely sons and too many animals to count.
